Nuno Espirito Santo is a Portuguese former football player and current manager. He was born on January 25, 1974, in Sao Tome and Principe. As a goalkeeper, he played for several Portuguese clubs such as Vitoria Guimaraes, Porto, and Deportivo La Coruna in Spain.
After retiring from playing in 2010, Nuno moved into coaching and has managed several clubs, including Rio Ave, Valencia, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. He is widely regarded as one of the brightest young managers in European football, known for his tactical acumen and ability to develop young players.
Nuno's most successful managerial spell has come with Wolverhampton Wanderers, whom he has led to promotion to the English Premier League in 2018 and guided them to successful campaigns in the top-flight since then, including a seventh-place finish in the 2018-19 season. He is also known for his excellent man-management skills and the close bond he shares with his players and staff.
